It is a strange thing to be veterans of a music scene at such an early stage in a band's career, but that is the position in which BRIGHTSIDE find themselves. In addition to performing throughout the southeast with We The Kings, Senses Fail, Alien Ant Farm, and Socialburn, the band also played the 2015 Vans Warped Tour (Jacksonville) and the 2015 Florida Music Festival (Orlando) and has grown into a Tallahassee headliner consistently drawing 350-400 people at every show. Most recently, the band joined We The Kings and Cute Is What We Aim For during the Florida leg (five dates) of the WTK 10 tour in late March and early April of 2017.

In December of 2014 the band released their debut EP, “Feels Like Fiction,” produced by Lee Dyess at Earthsound Recordings (Mayday Parade, From First to Last, Go Radio). Their second EP, "Heart Science," was released on February 5th, 2017, supported by two singles, "AEIOU" and "Lights a Spark." Both tracks have been receiving consistent drive time spins on Hot 104.9 (WHTF-FM Tallahassee). The EP was recorded, produced, and mixed by Zack and Kenneth of ZK Productions in Atlanta (Mayday Parade, Cartel, All Time Low) and James Paul Wisner in Orlando (Dashboard Confessional, Paramore, Further Seems Forever, Underoath).
Victory Records from Sarasota,Florida
Hailing from Fernandina Beach, Florida, flipturn consists
of Dillon Basse (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Tristan
Duncan (lead guitar), Taylor Allen (synth), Madeline
Jarman (bass), and Adrian Walker (drums). Flipturn
records with Rick Grice at Jacksonville’s Endangered
Wise Men Studios. The fun, bouncy “Cartoon Head”, the
band’s first single, was released in late 2016, and their
first EP, Heavy Colors, was released in March of 2017. A
live flipturn performance is a magical recipe--- blending
youthful energy with a varied and rich set, sometimes
playful, sometimes tender and soulful, and always
rocking. The result is a captivated audience, chanting for
“one more song!” at the end of the night.
