Purpose
The purpose of the internship program at Murray Hill
Ministries is to equip individuals who feel called to
minister to youth or to start a coffee house/concert
type of ministry. While serving as an intern you
will be actively involved in youth ministry and you
will receive hands on experience in the operation of
a coffee house/concert outreach. It is our desire
to share with you what God has taught us through the
years, to help equip you for the work of ministry that
He has called you to.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an intern with Murray Hill Ministries you will get
experience in all areas of our ministry. This will encompass
everything from Bible study, prayer and evangelism to
the daily tasks of set up, clean up and various office
administration. The area of concentration for each intern
will be determined on a case by case basis, depending
on your goals for the internship. Although you may focus
on a particular area of the ministry, you will still
be expected to take part in all aspects of the ministry
to some degree. The following list is not meant to be
exhaustive, but rather to give you an initial overview
of some of the things that you will be involved in as
a ministry intern:
- Leading a Bible study
- Being a part of a small group
- Basic sound and light production
- Coordinating volunteers
- Setting up events
- Evangelism
- Artist hospitality
- Operation of cafe
- Promotions
- Set up/clean up
- Office Administration
- Bookkeeping
- Creative outreach
Funding Your Internship
We are primarily interested in full time interns who
will commit for a period of six to twelve months.
Although we may consider someone coming on part time,
the ideal would be to have a concentrated six to twelve
month period where you can really experience all aspects
of our ministry on a daily basis. For this reason
we are asking that our interns have all needed funds
(living expenses) committed before acceptance into the
program. For those relocating we are suggesting
that you raise $750.00-$1,000.00 per month, for living
expenses. Again this is just an estimate that
may need to be adjusted depending on your particular
situation.
