How to get your band booked at the Murray Hill Theatre:
Thank you for your interest in playing at the Murray Hill Theatre!
Below are the instructions to submit your band for consideration to play at our world class venue. Many artists seek this opportunity and It takes a while to sort through all of the submissions. We carefully consider each submission and will try to respond to each applicant. If you are a new artist to MHT, please be advised that we are booking 90 days out and may NOT have an immediate opening for you. We ask for your patience during this process.
We are primarily looking for bands/artists who want to communicate HOPE through their music and art. We normally reserve our stage for Christian artists but will entertain general market bands on a case-by-case basis provided their material and merchandise is generally positive and does NOT contain profanity, overt sexual references or innuendo, glamorize illicit activity such as drug use, and doesn't directly contradict our core Christian beliefs.
Regional / Unknown National Bands: (unknown/unsigned bands that are out of the North Florida/South Georgia area - more than 90 miles away). We also feel a deep desire to help bands get exposure, therefore we book unknown bands with bands who do have significant fan bases here provide we have slots available. Regional bands/artists may be asked to pay a $100.00 staging/ exposure fee the first time they play to offset our costs of showcasing bands with no following. If you draw at least 20 people exclusively coming to see you, the fee is refunded. The Murray Hill Theatre management does reserve the right to waive this fee at its discretion.
Local Bands (within 90 miles of Jacksonville) if you are not able to bring a minimum of 15 paid guests to your show then you may not be ready to play our venue at this time. We hold band forums designed to assist new bands in areas of promotion and marketing to position you to play not only the MHT but other Jax venues as well. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in future forums.
To get the ball rolling on your band/artist performance at the Murray Hill Theatre here is what we need:
1. Copy of your lyrics
2. Website URL / Facebook.com artist/band page link that has samples of your music or anything else you may have that helps us know a bit about your band.
3. A solid commitment to promote your show/shows at the Hill and work on getting as many people here as you can to see your show.
4. A pastoral reference is perferred

Signed/Touring Artists & Bands: (artists signed to major label) specific contracts are negotiated with the artist or booking agency and compensation is based on crowd draw potential and expenses; compensation may aslo but not always include lodging and meals.
We receive numerous requests for spots on our stage and it takes time to review each submission, again we ask for your patience during this process.
